Among the many colleges and universities in Minneapolis, the most known of all is the University of Minnesota. In fact, the main campus of the university is dominating the collegiate scene of the city. This is because there are over 50,000 graduates, undergraduates and professional students who are attending the twenty schools, colleges and institutes that make up the whole university. The programs for the graduate school that topped the ranks in the year 2007 were the personnel services and counseling, psychology, chemical engineering, applied mathematics, macroeconomics and non-profit management. Known as the only Big Ten School among the Minneapolis universities, the U of M is touted to be fourth among the biggest campuses in the US, when it comes to its enrollment.

For career training, you could opt to go for the Art Institutes International Minnesota, the Minneapolis Community and Technical College, the School of Business and Globe University and the privately-owned Dunwoody College of Technology. Although the graduation rate of Minnesota and even in the city of Minneapolis is quite low. Although based on the 2008 Report of Minnesota Measures that the Minneapolis Community Technical College only has a graduation rate of 19.1 percent for three-year programs, with 20.9 percent of students changing schools, this should not be taken as a discouraging note against Minneapolis colleges and universities.
So, if you want to enroll in one of the universities in Minneapolis, don’t let the latest graduation figures daunt you. It is you who knows what you want out of a school, so if you can find what you need out of an education program in one of the universities or colleges in Minneapolis, then you go for that school. Graduation figures won’t affect your studies, if you won’t let it.
